UCL is where philanthropy helps big ideas to take root, grow and blossom

UCL was established through philanthropy and today, donations from individuals continue to support academic programmes, scholarships and the UCL estate. Over 8,000 people give a regular gift of anywhere between £3 and millions, and alumni and friends volunteer in numerous activities which help current students, UCL's world class research and fellow graduates.

Since 1826, donors to UCL have helped us remain true to our founding principles of innovation, accessibility and relevance.

Supporting the annual PM event, all UCLers participated taking pictures with wearing Bentham Masks all over the world.为了支持学校的公益活动月，UCL北京校友会，从事于金融，咨询，酒庄，媒体，电商等各行各业的优秀UCL在校生及毕业生，也纷纷参与了年度慈善月的活动，变身为边大大：即戴上创始人Jeremy Bentham边沁的面具，拍摄于世界各地。

About Jeremy Bentham

杰里米·边沁（Jeremy Bentham，1748年2月15日——1832年6月6日）是英国的法理学家、功利主义哲学家、经济学家和社会改革者。他是一个政治上的激进分子，亦是英国法律改革运动的先驱和领袖，并以功利主义哲学的创立者、一位动物权利的宣扬者及自然权利的反对者而闻名于世。他还对社会福利制度的发展有重大的贡献。
